when you go to the bakery shop and look for baking tin, it will indicate as 20cm as the size. It is usually round or square one.
As for the paper part, beyyer wait for mary to tell you her experience as i usually use those non-stick type, hence no need to apply butter as it will get very messy when putting the baking paper and also applying the butter...
take note that if you are in a rush, NEVER try to do lapis cake... It is a bit time consuming...
in feng ying's older recipe's blog, there is a picture of all the baking tin, measuring cup etc... the different size of the tin is labeled by 20cm, 25cm etc...

mary, thks for ur recips received, but one question, the tin is 20cmlong how many cm wide and what is the thickness?oso we need to lay the paper right than apply the oil onto the four side or on the paper?so sorry , i think i m very lame asking so many question.

when you go to the bakery shop and look for baking tin, it will indicate as 20cm as the size. It is usually round or square one.
As for the paper part, beyyer wait for mary to tell you her experience as i usually use those non-stick type, hence no need to apply butter as it will get very messy when putting the baking paper and also applying the butter...
take note that if you are in a rush, NEVER try to do lapis cake... It is a bit time consuming...

in feng ying's older recipe's blog, there is a picture of all the baking tin, measuring cup etc... the different size of the tin is labeled by 20cm, 25cm etc...

i didn't lay any paper, just apply oil on the base and four sides of the tin. I found that when i lay paper on it, the cake edge doesn't look nice.
